2012 GRAMMY AWARD WINNERS LIST: ADELE LEADS FEMI KUTI LOST


The 2012 Grammy awards show was hosted by LL Cool J. The performers included Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Adele. The lives and legacies of Whitney Houston and Etta James were celebrated during the ceremony.

Nicki Minaj walked empty handed. She was up for Best New Artist, but lost it to Bon Iver. She additionally vied for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album, but had to give them up to Kanye West.The G.O.O.D Music rapper won the former category through his duet with Jay-Z in “Otis”.Chris Brown.  won best RnB album.

Adele won 6 plaques and there was performances by Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Brown.

Taylor swift won 2 grammys in 2 minutes Bon Iver! Winner of #BestNewArtist & #BestAlternativeMusicAlbum.

Adele’s domination was followed by Foo Fighters who collected five kudos. Also getting multiple gongs were Kanye West (four), Skrillex (three), and Tony Bennett Bon Iver, Taylor Swift as well as Cee-Lo Green (two each).
