Glo Unveils New Strapline

Glo ambassadors, Desmond Elliot, Funke Akindele, Odunlade Adekola, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez, Rita Dominic and Sammy Okposo at the unveiling of the new Glo strap line "Unlimited" held recently in Lagos.

As Globacom prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary on the 29th of August this year, the company has unveiled a new strap line to reaffirm  its brand promise to consumers.
Aptly tagged “Unlimited”, the new strap line encapsulates Glo’s commitment to enabling the subscriber achieve his dreams and desires. It embodies Glo’s attitude towards its stakeholders and its commitment to be always there for them; facilitating the realization of their desires anywhere in the world, through the company’s world-class network.

Speaking at the launch of the new strap line in Lagos on Wednesday, March 20, Group Chief Operating Officer, Mohamed Jameel, said the new pay-off line marks a natural progression in the growth of the Glo brand identity and represents the unparalleled commitment of the company to its subscribers.
He explained that “Glo will offer subscribers the power to achieve and excel. It means that with Glo, they can realise their dreams and achieve infinite possibilities. To do this, Glo will give them unfettered access to the best tools that will enhance their productivity and energize their professional and social connections”.
Unlimited” underscores the essence of the brand’s belief in the consumer in the sense that our subscribers are operating without boundaries in their attitude and altitude towards what they can achieve in life. It means that consumers can therefore go all out, pulling out all the stops in the drive towards achieving their objectives because Glo is always there to make it happen”, he said.
He said that the new pay-off line also represents Glo’s attitude towards its management, staff and indeed all stakeholders because anything positive they seek is possible and Glo shall always be there for them, facilitating the achievement of their desires.
“Conversely, it is also an expression of our determination to go more than the extra mile to surpass the expectation of subscribers. “This means that our staff will always put their best foot forward in their efforts to satisfy our key stakeholders including customers, business partners and host communities with whom they interact from day-to-day”, he stated.
Jameel further explained that the new strap line captures the relevance of the Glo brand promise to its various stakeholders as well as staff after the monumental success of previous strap lines such as “Glo with Pride” and “Rule your World.
He said that starting with the pay-off line, Glo with Pride at launch, Glo promoted and built a sense of pride in every Nigerian by providing a world class indigenous telecommunications network which offered Nigerians the enablement platform to succeed in different fields of human endeavor.
Glo later followed up with Rule your World, a message of empowerment that helped build confidence in Nigerians that they can achieve their dreams, rule their world and be the best that they want to be.
“So, we are happy at what these slogans have achieved for our company and our subscribers who have been inspired to dream, work hard, achieve their life objectives and rule their world. With the new strap line “Unlimited”, there is indeed no limit to what our stakeholders can achieve if they believe in themselves”, Jameel added.

Beyonce Reveals Her Weight Loss Secrets

Beyonce wears a blue crop top and orange knickers on the cover of Shape magazine

Beyonce is partial to a slice or two of pizza, but only on Sundays! The superstar has revealed the secrets to her amazing body in US magazine Shape, and the tips have made us fall in love with her all over again.

The 31-year-old explains that she gained 57ibs while pregnant with her daughter Blue Ivy in 2011 and admits she put herself under intense pressure to lose the weight once she was born in January 2012.
She says: "I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!
I'm not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape." How very honest.
Her comments will no doubt make new mums feel a whole lot better. Heck, we're so impressed with her motto that we're sticking this one on our fridge. She says: "Not everyone is supposed to be the same. Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you."
Aside from lots of cardio and dance workouts, Bey did have to rethink her diet slightly. She adds: "I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa.
"I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or wholegrain cereal with low-fat milk. For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated.
"I always treat myself to one meal on Sundays when I can have whatever I want. Usually it’s pizza, which is my favourite indulgence."

“EME is still my family”:The new Y! Mag speaks exclusively to Wizkid

Wizkid Covers Y! Magazine – Wizkid Talks About EME, His Struggles, Fame and The Future

“EME is still my family”: The new Y! Magazine speaks exclusively to Wizkid on his struggles, fame & the future
The March 2013 issue of Y! magazine is out! This edition is covered by artiste and new record label owner Wizkid – in an interview by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi and photos by Kelechi Amadi-Obi. Wizkid is styled by Tiannah Styling’s Toyin Lawani.
“As this magazine went to print, the rumours were just about confirmed in public and sources had certainly confirmed in private,” said Chude Jideonwo, its editor-in-chief. “The amazing talent powerhouse called Wizkid had aggressively parted ways with EME, the label powered by Banky W – interesting news in light of what he told us only weeks before.”
In the cover story titled ‘No kidding’, Wizkid speaks frankly about his background, the history of his music, the evolution of his sound and the people who have made him what he is now – including former manager Osagie Osarenkhoe and Empire Mates Entertainment boss Banky W.
The shoot was anchored by the iconic Kelechi Amadi-Obi, with styling by Toyin Lawani of Tiannah Styling.
As always, Y! magazine – reputed as “high priest of the youth culture” – is a fine mishmash of the trending topics for young Nigerians; in lifestyle, pop culture, fashion and a journey through the issues.

There are interviews with Tinsel’s Linda Ejiofor, Moet Abebe, Seyi Shay, Uru Eke, Ms. Jaie and others. As well as ‘Generation to Generation’ conversation with former ministerial nominee and executive director of the Sahara Group, Tonye Cole.
In addition, the magazine presents its annual ‘New Establishment’ list, profiling the most promising young Nigerians across the world – under the age of 35.
“Wizkid is, ultimately, just one of 50 young people below 35 carefully selected by our team of curators,” Jideonwo said. “As always our New Establishment list profiles young people who aren’t red carpet fixtures or necessary celebrities, but who define the spirit of the age and are set to shine in 2013.
And don’t miss Y!’s annual Sexiest list! The 2013 list features Africa’s Sexiest Man Alive and Africa’s Sexiest Women Alive – and the editors have a blast thinking and talking through bodies, torsos and all that beauty!
Y! is available in stores and from vendors across the country. It is also available at all House of Tara Stores in Lagos, Abuja, Ilorin, Port-Harcourt, Benin, Kano, Ibadan and Kaduna and with Y! campus representatives in 19 states.
You can also pay for the magazine with your mobile phone and have it delivered to you at no extra charge.

Justin Bieber's 'bad behaviour' gets him kicked out of top Paris hotel

More dramas for Canadian pop star Justin Beiber after he was reportedly kicked out of a prestigious Paris hotel because of his attitude and fan behaviour.

It was a decision taken by the management of the luxury hotel because of his attitude in the establishment, and because of the nuisance caused by the presence of his fans around the buildings.

The 19-year-old had only been at the Hotel Le Meurice for 24 hours in preparation for a concert on Tuesday night. The hotel is an historic institution in the French capital used by royalty and Hollywood stars, and Beiber had booked seven suites on two floors for his huge entourage.

But within a few hours, hundreds of young female fans had converged on the hotel and in the lobby, creating problems for staff and other guests. Insiders at the hotel said that the noise had become "intolerable".
"Justin was clearly encouraging his fans - that's something he has to do."

But Beiber's publicist denied reports he was kicked out, saying the star chose to leave voluntarily because there was not enough security at the hotel to control the 500-plus crowd.
