Popular Nigerian singer and producer, J Martins (real name: Martins Okey Justice) got married to his lovely boo Nnezi Mbila, an Abuja based Banker in Lagos yesterday 30th May, at Protea Hotel Oakwood in Lekki, Lagos.

And we hear the wedding was kept secret for some reasons. We also gathered that the new bride Nnezi is 4 months pregnant already.

You will recall that Jay and Nnezi had their traditional wedding on January 2nd 2012 in Ohafia, Abia state.

Will Smith - "Don’t Compare My Family to the Kardashians"

Will Smith and son Jaden Smith play father and son for the second time, in the upcoming post-apocalyptic “After Earth.” Speaking with New York Magazine in a joint interview, they deny any similarity with another famous showbiz family, the Kardashians.

The interview, which is available in full at the link above, starts off well but then steers into awkward territory when the interviewer tries to get Jaden to talk about his rumored romance with Kylie Jenner.

Will motions him not to answer and then answers himself the question of whether they consider themselves similar or “un-similar” to the Kardashians, who have “treated their fame as the family business.”

The difference, he explains, is that they, the Smiths, only look at fame as an occasionally unwanted by-product of their real job. It’s not the end result.

“For our family, the entire structure of our life, our home, our business relationships—the entire purpose is for everyone to be able to create in a way that makes them happy. Fame is almost an inconsequential by-product of what we’re really trying to accomplish,” he says.

“We are trying to put great things into the world, we’re trying to have fun, and we’re trying to become the greatest versions of ourselves in the process of doing things we love,” Will continues.

“So the idea of fame or exploitation or orchestrating the media is sometimes even less than desirable for us,” he adds.

To his credit, Will doesn’t name the Kardashians once but he is slamming every little thing they stand for.

“It may seem like we have pushed our kids into the business, but that is absolutely insane. I would never, ever, push somebody to have their face on a poster that’s going be everywhere in the world. He is making a choice from the informed. It’s less scary to me than if he wanted to be a dentist in that I couldn’t help with what he’d chosen,” he then says, asked if Jaden could have been a dentist.

Ronaldo, clearly bowled over at being in the presence of smokin' hot pop royalty, wears a goofy grin as he cuddles up alongside her.

It's just been announced that the 28-year-old footballer is in the running to become the world's best-paid player, so if RiRi was looking to score with him, it wouldn't be a terrible choice... And it's bound to get under ex boyfriend Chris Brown's skin, too, who has been spotted hanging out with his ex Karrueche since the split.

We reckon Ri-naldo has a pretty nice ring to it, no?

Beyoncé For H&M: Watch The Full Ad Here

Beyoncé has made us want to quit our jobs, run away to a beach and dance all day in an H&M bikini. If the high street brand wanted us to be blown away by the singer's SS13 ad campaign, well, mission accomplished!  

The full advert has been unveiled and shows Bey model a number of gorgeous summer looks. Entitled 'Beyoncé as Mrs Carter in H&M', the video opens with the star dancing in the sand while wearing a black fringed string bikini. She's then joined by a group of dancers as she belts out her new track Standing In The Sun. 

It's the best we've ever seen her look, and even covered in sand (good luck washing that off, lovely) we can see how immaculate – and toned – her body is. Just gorgeous. 
She also rocks a brunette wig with a blue body-con dress and a performs a fancy little dance with a tie-dye sarong (we're SO copying this). 

Talking about the campaign earlier this month, Beyoncé said: "I've always liked H&M's focus on fun affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements - fire, water, earth and wind."

Leave it to Lady Gaga to refuse to let an injury cramp her style!
After undergoing hip surgery last month, the singer turned to designer Ken Borochov of luxury label Mordekai to create a custom wheelchair. And Borochov certainly didn't disappoint, creating a head-turning 24-karat gold plated chair that will have Gaga riding out her recovery in style!
"I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair, but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen," the designer explained in a statement.

So what exactly went into creating this pop queen's new ride? For an edgy yet durable look, Burachov styled the tufted leather seats to look like a motorcycle jacket and added some seriously stylish spoke rims that are sure to mesmerize onlookers as Gaga wheels her way through town. But his masterpiece is just as functional as it is fabulous; it features a removable canopy should Mother Monster require a little shade, and even reclines should she start to feel fatigued. She is recovering after all!
This isn't the first head-turning piece Borochov's created for Lady Gaga. He's designed a couple of crowns for the star's performances, as well as the infamous gold claw she wore to launch her Fame fragrance at Harrods in London. But we'd say the Chariot ranks as one of his fiercest accessories yet!

Amber Rose & Wiz Khalfia To Get Married In December

Amber and rapper Wiz Khalifa are expecting their baby boy very soon, and they're planning to get married before that.

Here is what he said;

“We’re gonna get the marriage license in a couple of weeks. And we’re gonna have that done. I’ve said it, I don’t think people really understand what I was saying. They’re like, ‘yeah okay, whatever.’ Definitely, like in the next few weeks. Before or after I get off tour. You just sign the papers or whatever and it’s like a legal thing. It’s like ‘Bam, you’re married.’ And then when you have the ceremony that’s when you invite the family, she can fit into her dress.”

Plus, he did reveal that his O.N.I.F.C album does include mentions of Amber who even lends her soon-to-be-husband a helping hand by rapping on the album that drops December 4th.

“I actually did all the music pre-baby. But the work and the grind and everything goes towards the baby though. I talk about Amber in the music though for sure.”

We’re guessing this will be a December wedding, because their baby isn’t due until January.

As usual, she gave out her best and got a standing ovation in return.

Not relenting on her oars after the great success recorded by her last single, Bottom Belle, the singer will be dropping her new single titled Stay Alive in matter of days. The single which will be released in audio and video format is another creative piece from the singer.

Fans will again be thrilled with this new release from the entertainer that borders on the need to relax and take things easy despite the hustle and bustle of life. “What I am saying in the song is that you need to just relax and take things easy because some people don’t. Every day, you see people trying to acquire wealth or get to a level where they can forget their troubles. But the thing about it is that you just need to slow down a little. As long as you have the basic requirements of the three square meals, try to stay alive and be concerned about your well being before you concentrate on acquiring wealth”, Omawumi revealed.

Stay Alive is another single from the sophomore album and the versatile vocalist who has increasingly proved her competence in the music world is yet to make another landmark.

Taylor Swift - "RED"

Taylor Swift’s failed relationships and her longing for someone right has pushed her to reveal more intimate, heart-wrenching and detailed lyrics that loosely follow the last two years of her life. It is in this most personal state that she has found the way to elevate her song-writing skills and to explore other sides of herself that perhaps she never knew existed.

This is how I translate the overall feel and the underlying message of Taylor Swift’s latest effort titled: “RED”. This album with its cover of Taylor Swift in a striking pose should serve as a hint to her fans that this latest release will not entirely be like her last three albums because Taylor Swift is entering her transitional phase to the adult-pop realm. With this move, some of her fans may feel left behind because she is dealing less and less with the teen soap-opera narratives and this time with real-life issues. 

In my opinion, it is the right time for her to do this since Taylor Swift is already 22 years old. Why wait for her fans to get tired of the same motifs, the same melodies and the tried and tested formulae of her songs? Because she is definitely no longer a teen-pop star; it doesn’t mean that her fans wouldn’t still view her as one, though. So why not capture both the teeny bopper fans and the adult fans as well. Her legions of fans have the choice to go along with this said change and still listen to her last three albums.

Now, to know what “RED” offers and what make people believe that this album is the best so far that Taylor Swift has released, let us review the best tracks in the proper sequence of the “RED” (Standard Edition) Album.

Track 1. ‘State of Grace’—will serve as a slow and warm welcome for loyal Taylor Swift fans. This song will also serve as “familiar ground” to those who have purchased her first three albums. You couldn’t really tell the difference with this track.

Track 3. ‘Treacherous’—A ballad directed to Taylor Swift’s country fan base. This is a more of a stripped-down song backed by handclaps and guitar strumming.

Track 4. ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’—starts off as a fun song that goes awry when the dub-step influence makes its way in. This is an example of a mixed-result that looked good on paper but doesn’t translate well in the track-listing of the album. It only added diversity but the dub-step influence is out of place here.

Track 6. ‘22’—A sad song which is coated in a danceable beat. ‘22’ sounds more like a celebration of youth than anything else and coincidentally, 22 is also her age now. There is a deeper meaning to this song than Taylor Swift lets out.

Track 7. ‘I Almost Do’—An acoustic-based song that traces back to her country-folk roots. This is very similar to her debut album “Speak Now.” This song is targeted more to her teen-pop fans.

Track 8. ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’— Sounds more like an Avril Lavigne song made years ago. Plus I am not sure the vocal tweaking done here to her voice was meant to make her sound younger or just to simply get attention with its unusual pitch which can get annoying. 

Taylor Swift sounds unconvincing and flat here. This is a perfect example of a “Bubble-Gum POP” song.

Track 10. ‘The Last Time’ Feat. Gary Lightbody—This song is the most mature of the entire album and proves she is ready for the adult-pop realm that I have been speaking of if only she decides to take the full dive into it. It was also a smart move by her producers to team her up with the lead singer of Snow Patrol as it does reach out to other fans and may even lend her some credibility when it comes to working with other artists from different genres. This song comes out nicely because it represents a darker tone of the album. One of the best tracks!

Track 12. ‘Sad Beautiful Tragic’—In this track, Taylor Swift is brutally honest. She does well in turning her raw emotion into finely tuned lyrics here that again speaks of love lost. But honestly how many times can you keep singing of getting hurt and of being a “victim” of love? I lost count how many times she kept singing, referencing and hinting about the same stuff in “RED”. Does she want her fans to be depressed by the time this overly bloated album is over?

Track 14. ‘Everything Has Changed’ Feat. Ed Sheeran – A guitar-driven song which is another ode to her debut album “Speak Now”. The laying of vocals here was really balanced out. Ed Sheeran does nothing more than complement the vocals of Taylor Swift here. This is the second track in which she has guest vocals. Maybe in the future she could release an album full of duets? She seems to perform better when she has someone to share the mic and stage with.

Track 16. ‘Begin Again’ – For the hopeless romantic and we get to hear Taylor Swift’s guitar-picking skills here. This is a nice delicate and mellow ender to “RED”.

“RED” is a mixed result. There are tracks here that clearly show how far she has gone from being a teen pop-star to making the transition to a certified adult-pop artist. While there are a few tracks in “RED” that still rely on her singing radio-friendly melodies with easy-to-digest lyrics and catchy hooks, you can’t fault her for that as she can’t suddenly throw away her trademark sound and lose a big chunk of her fans that she has made over the years in the process. Plus, Taylor Swift has shown that she has the courage in trying her hand even in the latest trending genres like dub-step which can be seen as a way for to make her presence felt for the club-ready crowd.

In my opinion, out of the 16-tracks in the “RED” (standard edition) I have reviewed, there are 5-6 tracks that you can go without. If you are the discerning listener, you can focus first on the lead single and take it from there to select which track will best suit your taste. But if you are a hard-core fan, you can just listen to any track of the album and enjoy it regardless of whether you understand the song or not. That’s how popular Taylor Swift has become!

But on a positive note, the album is quite varied depending on the musical styles because she has acoustic-based songs like (‘I Almost Do’ and ‘Everything Has Changed’ Feat. Ed Sheeran), a dark folk-ballad (‘On The Last Time’ Feat. Gary Lightbody), one experimental track in the dub-step infused (‘I Knew You Were Trouble’) and heavier country-pop songs (State of Grace and Sad Beautiful Tragic) and a couple other tracks not really worth noting. You can tell why it took two years for “RED” to finally be finished and released.

This clearly wasn’t rushed and the producers knew there will be such a high expectation for her to succeed and to outdo her previous releases.  Some may view this album as an attempt by Taylor Swift to reinvent herself, but it doesn’t go that far. She just finally decided to sing more about her personal life.

That is why the album feels more relatable and lyrically deep to her fans compared to her previous releases. Her music’s maturity has clearly developed over time creating an impressive track-list despite all its flaws and there are moments of the kind of artistry Taylor Swift has. 

“RED” is not only for the hardcore fans of Taylor Swift but anyone else who wants to listen to a well put- together album full of visible emotion backed by well-written lyrics. But this one is worth purchasing only if you are into love-laced ditties and really, really sentimental stuff.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez break up

A source confirms that Justin Bieber is no longer Selena Gomez’s “Boyfriend.”

The source is not authorized to discuss the split  and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The breakup apparently happened last week, and distance and their busy schedules were cited as factors.

The 18 year old “Boyfriend” singer is touring to promote his latest album, while 20 year old Gomez is filming a “Wizards of Waverly Place” reunion for the Disney Channel.
The pair first stepped up publicly in February 2011.

Riri has nearly 61,672,942 likes on the social networking site with Eminem hovering at around 61,300,000. These numbers update all the time, so we’re just posting estimates.

Even though BBA ended on Sunday 5th of August 2012, the drama is still very much on oo!

SINGER RIHANNA LOSES GRANDMOTHER TO CANCER

Rihanna's grandmother has died after losing her battle with cancer. The devastated R&B star, who delayed a recent trip to Europe to spend time with her family and visit sick Clara 'Dolly' Braithwaite in hospital in New York, appears to have addressed breaking reports from Barbados, which suggest her grandmother has died, via Twitter.com. 

As fans turned on the 'You Da One' singer following a shambolic performance at a Swedish music festival on Saturday (30Jun12), Rihanna had her late grandma on her mind, tweeting, "Goodbye grangranDolly get your beauty rest until I see you..." and then adding minutes later, "grangranDolly that is all." 

And her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's manager/mum Joyce Hawkins felt the singer's pain, offering her words of condolence after hearing the awful news.

Hawkins tweeted, "Angel May God Be With You And Your Family In Your Time Of

Sorrow. Love You Angel." The note prompted Rihanna to reply, "mombreezy thank you! Love u mama." 

She paid tribute to her father on Twitter before heading off to see her grandmother in hospital so it was certainly a family-focussed day for Rihanna.

The Talk That Talk singer was seen heading to visit her relative Clara 'Dolly' Brathwaite in New York.  Rihanna has been making regular visits to her grandmother since the elderly lady was diagnosed with cancer.

The singer spent Father's Day (17  June 12) in hospital visiting her sick grandmother, posting playful photos of herself with Braithwaite on Twitter.com and writing, "My heart smiled and cried all at once."
