Celebrities model Yomi Casual’s 2013 design collection

AY younger brother and award winning designer, Yomi just unveiled his 2013 collection which features celebrities such as – Ebube Nwagbo, Desmond Elliot, Chinedu Ikedieze, Susan Peters, Uti Nwachukwu, Iyanya, Zack Orji, Okey Bakassi, Don Jazzy, Efe Tommy, Jimmy Jatt and Elenu.

Don Jazzy Branches into Fashion; Set To Launch Mavin Clothing Line

 
Michael Collins popularly known as Don Jazzy is set to launch his own clothing line. He disclosed this via his twitter handle yesterday and also added that he is searching for models for the clothing line.

Music Meets Runway Returns In Style

This year’s edition of the Music Meets Runway has been described by the organisers Le Reve Events, as the show billed to herald fresh and new experience for all participants through the introduction of new designers and quality entertainment value.
 
The producer of the show Jennifer Olize gave this assurance while speaking about the preparation for this year’s edition, adding that MMR show will surpass every expectation this year. “I have very high expectations for the show this year. If you enjoyed the show last year, you are guaranteed a better experience this year. With this year’s new additions and concept we plan to make the show more trendy, fierce and over the top. From the designers, music artists, models and people in attendance, MMR 2012 will surely create a greater impact this year” Jennifer claims.
 
The success of the model casting held recently at the new N-Tyce Lounge in Victoria Island was exceptional as over 2,000 models were in attendance. It further confirmed the claims of the organizers that this year’s edition will be trendy, fierce, and over the top. And also establish the fact that the show has become the toast of the youths and other fashion buffs in the last one year.

It will be recalled that the maiden was the platform the fast rising music act Davido had his first public performance that launched his career into limelight. The question here is who will be the next music genius that MMR will produce this year?
 
However, it is important to state here that apart from entertaining participant with music and fashion styles on display, the MMR show is out to help promote education in Nigeria through its Music Meets Runway Foundation.

Nigerian designer, Mai Atafo was presented with 'theDesigner of the Year award' at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week held in Ghana. Atafo displayed his impressive collections which included classic men's suits, bridal wears, evening and more.

AGBANI DAREGO GRADUATES FROM NYU

I say congratulations to Miss World 2001 and celebrity model , Agbani Darego who just graduated from New York University with a major in Psychology. 

New York University was also where supermodel Oluchi graduated from two years ago.

It's a show of gratitude!

The much anticipated event is being put together to appreciate sponsors, media partners, fans, friends and well wishers who have played towards the success of the Model Of Africa(MOA) vision and to celebrate the Model Of Africa winner and top models for their achievement.

Highlights of the event include a fashion showcase with 30 of Nigeria's biggest male models on the runway walking for some of the most creative menswear designers. The designers who have been given the platform of the MOA fashion party to showcase their pieces include: Thots On Tees, Femy Toyz,Nack, Maxivive, Kamsi Tchales,  Blackz & Emy, and Ben Clair. One of these designers would be selected for an automatic spot alongside other major designers like MAI, Yomi Casuals, Alvince, David Wej and Ginani, who shall be showcasing at the MOA 2012 event.


The runway would be filled with MOA 2011 winner Kenneth Nwadike and runner-ups Victor Kwen Akomaye, Segun Oyeyemi, Damola Adebowale, other top models like Uti Nwachukwu, Gbenro Ajibade, Alexx Ekubo, Dominic Ejiro, Ono, Kelvin, and Kenneth Okolie.

The event would also provide a networking opportunity between fashion insiders, models, designers and stylist.
