Oliva Tweest Flyer II
Taking place on April 15 at the Lyric Theatre (home of Thriller: The Musical) at the heart of London’s West End, OLIVA TWEEST is the very first play of its kind to feature in London’s West End – a legendary and prestigious Theatre hub renowned the world over – and will feature some of the most popular faces in the burgeoning U.K Afrobeats landscape.
The story, which is based on D’Banj’s 2012 HIT single “Oliver Twist”, is set in present day London and is about a promiscuous young man (Tobi) whose past comes back to haunt him when he meets a girl (Testimony) that will change his life forever. Combined with excellent comedic performances, notably from Dorcas Fapson as Tobi’s mother (Aunty Funke) and her lover, Pastor (Bayodele), great imagery, captivating choreography and resounding vocals are all on show throughout this production, driven by a fresh and exciting cast of some of the best new and emerging theatre professionals of 2013.
While we can also expect to witness some cameo performances from Eddie Kadi, A Dot Comedian and several special guest artists, the ‘Oliva Tweest’ live band and vocal group – coached by Conrad Benjamin of Clarity Vocals – will be recreating and performing beautiful cover renditions of some of our favourite Afrobeats songs originally by the likes of Wizkid, D’Banj among others.

#STARGAME UPDATE: MALONZA AND JUNIA EVICTED FROM BBA

Junia and Malonza became the latest Housemates to bid farewell to the Big Brother House.

While the Eviction gods smiled upon Lady May, Goldie, Prezzo and Kyle unfortunately for the StarGame sweethearts tonight was the end of the road of their journey inside of the Big Brother House.

After StarGame presenter IK announced Malonza as the third Housemate to be evicted from Upville, Junia broke down as her man headed out of the House, little did she know that just moments later she too would be headed for Homeville. After IK revealed that she was leaving, she let out a sigh of relief and whispered. “At least I am leaving with him.

On the Live Show Eviction stage Malonza shared that their relationship was the one thing that brought him joy inside of the Big Brother House. “I am happy, because of Junia,” he said fondly.

It is clear that these two have genuine feelings for one another and now they finally have a chance to see if their love is more than an illusion as Malonza’s brother Alex claimed, for both their sakes we hope that Alex is wrong.

BIG BROTHER AFRICA 2012! THIS SEASON, REPRESENTATIVES TO COME IN PAIRS

Winning Big Brother Africa is now worth more - a $100,000 more. According to reports the organisers of the reality television series, M-Net, announced that the prize money for the show has been raised to $300,000, up from $200,000.

The biggest show in Africa TV is back and in May 6 2012, all will be set to roll for another 91 days and the good news is that the Awareness has come early enough to enable interested individual sufficient time to enroll and get prepared for the realty show.

Another interesting twist is that this season will have two representatives acting as one, so you have to be careful when selecting your partner because as you all know this is reality.

Couples in this case will be the best pack to look out for because they will be licenced to spill whatever they got up their sleeves. You can join the show either with you dad, mom, wifey, hubby, best friend, boy friend, girl friend and the list goes on and on..

PLUS, in another bold change, Big Brother Africa welcomes two new countries Liberia and Sierra Leone to the Big Brother house for the first time ever, while this time round, Ethiopia bows out of the game and Mozambique will take on a new role that will be announced at a later stage.
That means that this year, if you want to enter Big Brother Africa you can do so if you and your partner are citizens from one of the following participating countries: Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

If you want to grace channel 198 on DSTV come this May, then you can pick up forms from any Multichoice office near you starting on February 05, 2012 or better still log on to www.mnetafrica.com/bigbrother.

M-Net Africa Managing Director Biola Alabi said: "We are thrilled to be offering a huge, new, USD 300 000 prize and to include two new countries who were chosen to participate based on their ongoing interest in the series and their growing DStv audiences.

And while Ethiopia won't have a housemate this year, we'll look to include them and other non-housemate countries in other ways if the opportunity arises, as we do every season.
We are and have always been proudly committed to making this a truly African show. And as for

Mozambique, they will be included with a housemate - but that's all we are saying at the moment!"
She goes on to say, "Of course, the really big news this season is that entrants must enter as pairs. In the past we've seen a natural and continuous cross-over between individuals and their families, their friends. So this year, we decided to include that as part of the game. It will definitely make a dramatic addition to the series so we urge people to enter and experience what will be a uniquely different Big Brother Africa!"
