Omotola Jalade was thrown a surprise birthday party by her husband Matthew Ekeinde yesterday.

The occasion was graced by Genevieve Nnaji (they are no longer enemies), Bimbo Akintola, Monlisa Chinda, Actors’ Guild of Nigeria president Ibinabo Fiberisima, Chidi Mokeme, as well as singers Banky W, Sound Sultan and others.

On arrival at the Golden Bee suites in GRA, Ikeja from Atlanta, USA,  Omotola Jalade Ekehinde was led by her husband Capt. Matthew Ekehinde to an already booked room in the suite and there she saw the anxiously waiting friends and family.

She almost tripped when she opened the door and saw everyone jump on their feet screaming SURPRISE!

With a heart full of warmth and appreciation she hugged everyone one after the other after which she asked for permission to go freshen up for the party. 

Banky W eager to serenade the actress, seized the break and rendered an acapella version of the conventional Happy birthday song during which Omotola jokingly revealed her age to be FIFTEEN.

Her effervescent hubby, when asked by a reporter to share he back how he feels having his wife back home after 5 months, he buoyantly said:

“What I’ve not been able to do for five months, I must do tonight.”

Janet Jackson today announced that she’s not engaged to billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana like wildly speculated but married to him.

“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year
we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy.‘
